Meet Stevie Wonder! Stevie was found as a stray in Suffolk. He was born with no eyelids, and we discovered the remnants of his eyelids were fused to his eyeballs! As a result, his eyelashes were curling in, scratching the eyeball itself, and causing excruciatingly painful ulcers for this poor baby. The vet recommended removing both eyes. Both eyes have now been successfully removed, and Stevie is doing amazing!! He’s a happy boy and so very sweet. He's like a whole new cat now that he’s not in pain! He cuddles his foster mama, and even ventured out to explore the house to find her so he could snuggle! In fact, even without being able to see, he even remembers how to get on her desk to get some loving!

It will take him a few days to get used to the layout of your house. He will run into things, but he learns very quickly. He does best if you snap, clap, or tap the floor. He doesn’t like loud noises and would be best suited to a house with older teenage children or no children. Stevie likes other cats; he tries very hard to play with them but he obviously can’t always tell where they are. Sometimes he walks right up to them without realizing what he’s doing. He gets overstimulated easily around other cats and will retreat to his own space. Stevie is a very loving cat who has never met a stranger, but he needs to adjust to a house very slowly. He previously had a urinary blockage and now requires a special diet. He needs a patient and quiet house that he can grow old in. He is such a sweet boy and has the most precious coos instead of meows.
