You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Woody: Loyal, Smart, and Ready for His Forever Home

Woody’s journey has been long — from shelters to foster care, he’s been waiting years for the stable, loving home he deserves. Once he bonds with you, it’s for life. He may be shy or even standoffish at first, but with patience, his sweet, goofy personality shines through.

What Woody Needs

  • A calm, structured home with a fenced yard (no apartments/townhomes)
  • No young children due to his playful energy
  • Daily exercise and mental stimulation
  • Continued anxiety medication and no dog parks
  • Slow introductions to other dogs — he can live with tolerant companions

What Makes Woody Special

  • Deeply loyal and emotionally intuitive
  • Highly intelligent and loves learning
  • Energetic, playful, and curious — notices everything!
  • Thrives with routine and space to run

Woody’s a sensitive soul with a heart of gold. He’s not just looking for a home — he’s looking for someone who sees the best in him and is ready to help him shine. Could that someone be you?

NOTE: Dog Breed Information. We do not utilize DNA testing for breed and mix determinations. The breed and mix identifications provided on the webpages for our dogs are based on information provided by shelter staff, previous dogs owners, our visual assessment of an animal's physical characteristics, demeanor, and behavioral traits.

More about this rescue

We are not selective about the breed of dog we help. We consider the lives of all breeds to be equal. The labor force behind our mission is 100% volunteer staffed. We save dogs from shelters as well as from owners who cannot care for their dogs any longer. The dogs we take in are placed in loving foster homes until they find their forever home. We do not have a brick and mortar facility; we are 100% foster based including loving fospice for terminally ill dogs. We work to support the local community by providing education on care and treatment of dogs. Promoting safe handling, the importance of vaccinations, heartworm prevention, advocating and providing financial assistance to those in need for spay and neutering. We arrange for community outreach by building kennels and outdoor shelters to get dogs off chains.
