My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cookie — The Sweetest Soul You’ll Ever Bring Home

If you’ve been waiting for a dog who checks every box, your search might just end with Cookie. She’s young, beautiful, gentle, and full of heart — yet somehow still waiting for her forever family. Once you meet her, you’ll wonder how she hasn’t been scooped up already.

Cookie is the perfect blend of playful, affectionate, and easygoing. She’s the kind of dog who adapts to your lifestyle effortlessly — whether that means joining you on a weekend adventure or curling up beside you for a quiet night in. Her temperament is truly exceptional: even‑keeled, gentle, and eager to please.

Cookie lives in a busy foster home with five and dogs and a toddler, and she gets along beautifully with everyone. She’s respectful, friendly, and wonderfully social. She also attends daycare, where she’s a staff favorite thanks to her sweet nature and polite play style.

Smart, Trainable, and Ready to Learn Cookie is already:

• Crate trained
• House trained
• Great in the car
• Skilled at “sit,” “stay,” “leave it,” and “come”
• Highly food‑motivated and people‑motivated — a dream combo for training

She genuinely wants to make her humans happy, which makes working with her fun and rewarding.

What She Loves

• Snuggling (she’s a certified cuddle bug)
• Playing with toys
• Being near her people
• Exploring outside
• Joining the pack — canine or human

Cookie is the kind of dog who bonds deeply and loves wholeheartedly.

Her Ideal Home: Honestly? Cookie could thrive almost anywhere. She’s great with:

• Dogs
• Kids
• Adults
• Busy households
• Quiet households

She’s the definition of “go with the flow.” Whether you’re a first‑time dog owner or an experienced one, Cookie will fit right in.

Bonus Info: Her Embark DNA profile is available in her photos for anyone curious about her breed mix.

Why Cookie Is Special: Cookie isn’t just a good dog, she’s an exceptional one. She’s gentle, goofy, affectionate, intelligent, and wonderfully even‑tempered. She’s the kind of companion who makes every day a little brighter just by being there.

She’s ready to be your walking buddy, your couch companion, your adventure partner, and your heart’s new favorite place.

Cookie is waiting for someone to choose her. Maybe that someone is you.

More about this rescue

We are not selective about the breed of dog we help. We consider the lives of all breeds to be equal. The labor force behind our mission is 100% volunteer staffed. We save dogs from shelters as well as from owners who cannot care for their dogs any longer. The dogs we take in are placed in loving foster homes until they find their forever home. We do not have a brick and mortar facility; we are 100% foster based including loving fospice for terminally ill dogs. We work to support the local community by providing education on care and treatment of dogs. Promoting safe handling, the importance of vaccinations, heartworm prevention, advocating and providing financial assistance to those in need for spay and neutering. We arrange for community outreach by building kennels and outdoor shelters to get dogs off chains.
