WORKING CAT Orlando is a sibling of Astra. Orlando is much further along the feral scale than Astra, although he does "chat" with his feeder at feeding time. Otherwise he avoids all human contact and hisses if someone comes too close. He is eager to escape the confines of the rescue and get outside. He is also an excellent hunter and climber. Orlando is utterly gorgeous with long fur and an incredibly bushy tail of gray and white - but - he is unable to ever be a pet and needs his freedom to live his life the way he was born - free. He and Astra could be adopted together. Although they are not really friends, they have been together since birth and tolerate each other.

We rescue animals from high kill shelters or abandoned local strays and foster them until they find an adoptive home. Our southern branch also goes out on emergency rescue calls for cats in drain and sewer pipes, up trees, stuck in walls etc. Transport in available up and down the state of CA. We also TNR local stray and feral populations. The plight of homeless animals moves us deeply. It is unspeakably horrific to see gentle loving animals killed simply because they are homeless. While we cannot save them all, each one saved deserves it. We are a 501c3 registered, CA non-profit corporation.
