My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Amber was rescued on August 19, 2021 from a park in the Inland Empire. She was very lucky to have survived as the other rabbits she was dumped with met an untimely death. Domestic rabbits can't survive outdoors as they are prey animals and subject to attacks from coyotes, hawks, owls, bobcats, feral cats, etc.

Amber has an estimated date of birth of early June 2021.

Amber needs just a little bit of reassurance when you first pick her up. However, once she is snuggled in your arms, she is extremely happy and content and shows it by chattering her teeth. She knows she was rescued!

So, if you want a rabbit to cuddle and grow with as she continues trusting humans, she would make a wonderful companion pet for you. She will do best in a quiet home.

Amber is scheduled for her spay surgery in April 2022.

Amber needs to live indoors either: 1) free roaming, 2) in a room or a section of a room, or 3) in an x-pen enclosure or homemade DIY wire grid system. A cage/hutch is not recommended unless the door is open and an x-pen can be placed around it.

Please be over 21 if inquiring about a rabbit.

Amber can be seen by appointment in Lake Elsinore after a questionnaire is completed or a phone consultation conducted. Delivery is also available to the greater southern California area. Any additional donations to keep the rescue afloat are greatly appreciated.

BENEFITS OF ADOPTION FROM KRIBS FOR KRITTERS RABBIT RESCUE:

* Unparalleled rabbit education before you adopt
* Ongoing support after you adopt

Don't have the items you need to welcome a bunny to your home? No problem, I have low-cost x-pen enclosures, litter boxes, bunny litter, hay, food pellets and toys to make new bunny ownership easier for you. Your local big chain pet store is probably NOT the best place to buy rabbit supplies!

Or, if you prefer to get your bunny supplies ahead of time, PLEASE consult with me before you purchase them as I can direct you to the least expensive and most appropriate rabbit essentials.

More about this rescue

Kribs for Kritters primary focus is rescuing domestic rabbits that have been abandoned at parks, schools, golf courses, fitness trails and any other outdoor location. Kribs for Kritters also assists Golden View Farm Rabbit Rescue in their heroic efforts.

All rabbits are spayed/neutered prior to adoption.

We are both a rescue and a shelter. We have over 100 rabbits in our care. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, just ask. It is likely we have a bunny to suit your needs. New bunnies are being rescued every week. We don’t always have time/resources to post every bunny that crosses our path.

We have an exceptionally high success rate of bunny bonding on the very first date. So, if you’re looking for a mate for your existing bunny, give us a try.

Our operating costs are at least $1,000 per month so donations are always appreciated. Donations can be made to PayPal.me/kribsforkritters.
