For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
Bella is a 5 year old goofy girl with personality to spare! She loves swimming, snow, hiking, and snuggling up next to you at home. She knows Sit, Down, Paw, and Speak. She’s crate trained and very polite in the home, and she can be left home with no issues! She would love to be your adventure buddy and would be great for someone with an active lifestyle!
Bella is very silly and can hop like a little dog shaped bunny. she also LOVES to roll around in the leaves/grass and her excitement is absolutely contagious! When she gets excited she’ll grab the nearest toy and play with you! She loves car rides and is great about letting you know when she needs to go out, no accidents in the house! She loves treats, especially dental sticks, and will show you all her tricks to get one!
Unfortunately, Bella’s history has been peppered with trauma. She’s likely been treated not so well by humans in the past, and most recently, she had a long stay in boarding that seems to have caused her to become reactive to people (especially men) and other pups. Het foster mom has been working with her every day, and she’s come a long way! With continued work and dedication, she will continue to improve! She wants so badly to be a good girl, she just needs someone who will be patient with her, and show her the world isn’t as scary as she’s been made to believe. Bella needs to be your one and only, so no cats or other dogs.
This may seem like a tall order, but we just know her perfect match is out there somewhere who wants in on the rewarding opportunity of helping out this sweetie who needs a little extra effort. Could it be you?
Bella is spayed, up-to-date on shots, micro chipped, and absolutely lovable. Please contact AmsterDog at 917-689-8414 or fill out our online application at www.amsterdog.org. And thanks for caring about a pet in need!

AmsterDog Rescue does not have its own facility. Instead, we rely on fosters to care for our beloved animals. Our available animals may change depending on your location and we do transport animals for adoptions within a reasonable distance. Since you will possibly be speaking with and meeting a foster directly, an application must be filled out prior to meet and greets.
