My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Margarita is a 5-month-old female puppy (DOB 1/29/22). Margarita and her sisters, Paloma and Chavela, were born to a stray that had the good fortune to be taken in by a good Samaritan about a month before their surprise arrival. We don't know much about her genealogy but we have included a picture of her Mom for reference. Based solely on appearance, Margarita's Mom appears to be a Shepard/Spitz breed mix. However, based on her current weight, Margarita and her siblings are on track to be significantly bigger than their 50 lbs Mom.

Much more important than her genes is her personality, and this little girl is an independent spirit. She is adventurous and outgoing.
Margarita has a solid foundation of crate training and potty training that will strengthen with time and consistency. The ideal home for Margarita would be one committed to continuing that training.

She is being fostered in a home with other dogs, both large and small, old and young. Her adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, deworming, microchip, flea/tick preventative, and spay/neuter. If you can picture yourself enjoying this, and many more summers to come, with this spicy Margarita, please email us at howlelujah.rescue@gmail.com.

More about this rescue

Howlelujah Rescue is a small, volunteer run, foster based, all breed, non-profit rescue. All our of work is supported through our adoption fees and donations. We can only rescue as many dogs as we can ethically and safely house and support, so we are always looking for responsible and committed volunteers. We believe that the most effective way of supporting our community is to give back at the community level. In addition to animal rescue, we support our community by working to keep pets with the owners that love them; helping provide food, vaccinations, and low cost spay and neuter options to reduce the the number of animals entering our local county run shelter or being dumped on our streets.
