My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This sweet girl came to us by way of Lee County Domestic Animal Services, as they were running out of space. We often pull dogs from other shelters that don’t have the luxury of time that we do at ARC.

Charity is affectionate, playful and very energetic. She is also very strong and can climb fences. She has a prey drive so she cannot go to a home with cats or small dogs. We’re looking for a younger, very active family for this sweet girl.

Why not make an appointment to come and meet her today!

More about this rescue

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
