My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This wonderfully affectionate girl was surrendered to ARC because her family was moving and couldn’t take her with them. We absolutely hate when this situation occurs! Situations can happen to anyone, but your pet is a member of the family. They should never be left behind.

This pretty girl is so sweet and loving. She loves to give kisses and snuggle. She was so sad when she first came to us, but she has started to adjust to life outside of a traditional home, and is now drinking in all the love that our staff and volunteers have to offer. Won’t you please consider coming out to meet this lovely girl!

My ideal home:
I need a loving, permanent home!
I'm good with:
Older Children Men Women
I'm not good with:
Most Other Dogs Cats Young Children

More about this rescue

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
