My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Bridgette is on her way to the 'home for broken dogs' after an extended stay at North Colony Animal Clinic.  So glad to meet this girl and give her some love!

Remember the 4 puppies found under a bridge almost a month ago?  We took one that was injured and Dallas Street Dog Advocates rescued the other three. Well, our injured puppy, Bridgette, was found to have broken both of her back legs! Poor baby.

She had a rear left hock area fracture and a rear right hip fracture. She has spent the last few weeks at the vet and it's finally time for her to come to her foster home. She is not putting as much weight on the one leg as much as the vet would like, but now it's just crate rest and hoping it heals with more time.

She is in the best hands with our medical foster and will be getting all the love. This will likely be her first time in a home and with a family. Welcome to your new life Bridgette!

Bridgette is doing so well here in her foster home. She saw our orthopedic veterinarian this week for a recheck and he said she looks great! He would like to wait about a month to spay her to make sure she is completely healed from her broken bones. Then she will be available for adoption in late August.

We received a donation of a new dog bed from a friend and she has barely left this bed in two days. We have plenty of dog beds in the house but this is hers. She is a happy, sweet, and easy dog and will likely have no lingering effects from her early trauma.

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
