My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This silly lovable goof was found as a puppy on the freeway along with a litter mate. They were taken to a county shelter and the other pup was quickly adopted while Chip waited. He was struggling in the shelter so the family who found him, adopted him, out of fear he would be euthanized in the shelter. They knew that was not a long-term solution so they reached out to us for help. Chip is still very much a puppy even though he is a year and a half. We are working with him on his leash manners and basic commands. He is all puppy and quite strong so he will need a patient adopter who can help him with all things puppy. We have discovered we think he will do best as an only dog. You can see more videos of Chip on our Instagram page @thebrittanyfoundation.
Because we require visits here to our rescue and in-person home checks, adoptions are limited to the Los Angeles, CA area.

More about this rescue

Brittany Foundation is a non profit charity which rescues, rehabilitates, provides housing, and searches for new homes for homeless dogs. We focus on rescuing the harder-to-place dogs, such as pit bulls, chow chows, and older or special needs dogs. We have been successful in placing all types of dogs into loving homes. We are a no-kill facility and dogs stay with us until they are adopted. If they are not adopted, they have a home with us for the remainder of their lives.
