My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the marvelous Mae! She's an average-sized girl with a calico coat and pale yellow eyes. Mae is between 8 to 10 years old, but don't let her age fool you - she's still a social sweetheart!
Mae came from an extreme hoarder situation, but you'd never know it when meeting her. Her fosters say she is a sweet, docile, and easy-going friend. She can be picked up and held without fuss. Just like the month of May, Mae might be a bit cold at first, but she'll warm right up once her human friends show they're trustworthy. A fitting name!
Mae is flexible, she'd do well with other cats or by herself. Either way, she'll need a human friend eager to give her TLC, quiet time, and love. Please reach out if you're interested in befriending the marvelous Mae!

More about this rescue

We are a group of girls who rescue homeless and stray animals in the most dangerous areas of NYC (predominately Harlem and upper Manhattan). We work diligently to place them into loving forever homes. We are passionate about our work and do all that we can to save as many lives as possible. Each animal is fully vetted, vaccinated, tested for FIV/Felv, spayed/neutered and microchipped before being placed in a foster or forever home. We make sure each cat is matched into the most suitable home for him/her.
