Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet the amazing Ava! Do not be fooled, while this beauty may be tiny, her personality is huge! She loves to tackle her foster siblings even though they’re almost twice her size!
She’s come a long way since she moved to her foster home, but she’s still quite shy. Her fosters have had lots of progress with play therapy and “chicken therapy,” aka sitting on the floor with her and associating touch with feeding her boiled chicken breast. She’s also made lots of progress confidence-wise after we started kneeling down at her at eye level and having her come to greet her foster mom and dad as soon as they enter any room she’s in.
Her favorite pastimes include chasing laser pointers, eating chicken breast, rolling in catnip, playing with running tap water, watching TV, and playing hide and seek with the other cats. She definitely still has her kitten energy and loves to play and run!
Also, fun fact, her meow is so high pitched, it sounds like a laser-beam sound effect from a Star Wars movie. It’ll melt your heart.
She would do best in a home with at least one other cat; she’s learned a lot from and gained a lot of confidence from watching our other cats interact with her foster parents.

More about this rescue
We are a group of girls who rescue homeless and stray animals in the most dangerous areas of NYC (predominately Harlem and upper Manhattan). We work diligently to place them into loving forever homes. We are passionate about our work and do all that we can to save as many lives as possible. Each animal is fully vetted, vaccinated, tested for FIV/Felv, spayed/neutered and microchipped before being placed in a foster or forever home. We make sure each cat is matched into the most suitable home for him/her.
