My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Special Considerations: restricted activity
Meet Salsa! This adorable and affectionate girl was transferred to us from a shelter in California because she was paralyzed and needed a surgery on her spine. She cannot play rough, jump or use the stairs and she takes a daily pain medication but is otherwise just the happiest pup. She is a bit nervous around new people, but is the best little lap dog once she trusts you. It just takes a few treats and a little patience! She loves other little dogs and would probably be fine with cats. If you’ve been looking for a calm cutie pie to cuddle, call to learn more about Salsa!
Salsa is current on vaccines, spayed and microchipped.

More about this rescue

Founded by Vivian Goldbloom in 2013, Emerald City Pet Rescue exists to rescue abused, neglected, and homeless animals from high-volume shelters around the country.

We pride ourselves on providing the best medical care possible for our rescued animals and rehabilitating hard-to-adopt animals to help them increase their chances of finding loving homes.

Our screening process includes meet and greets, reference checks, and a visit to the potential owner’s home to ensure the home and family are compatible with the pet’s needs and our requirements. We do everything we can to ensure that loving homes are found for these amazing pets.

Emerald City Pet Rescue is run by dedicated staff and volunteers who give their time and resources to house, train, rehabilitate, and care for our animals. Above all else, we truly believe that Love Can Save Lives.
