We are pretty sure that Zoey has never woken up on the wrong side of the bed. She is an eight-year-old, 10-pound Miniature Poodle and Maltese mix who has joy and positivity oozing out of her. Zoey was found as a stray and taken to the county shelter. She was briefly adopted and returned. Her adopters found out she had mammary masses that required removal, and her older-lady teeth needed some dental work. Home Fur Good fell in love instantly and decided to help her with those medical needs so she could find a forever home. Her short-term adopter also said that Zoey loves to be held and requires lots of attention. Well, spend two seconds with Zoey and you are going to want to shower her with love and affection; I mean, the little one will do a little dance for treats - how sweet is that? The adoption fee for Zoey is $300, which is higher than it would be under our normal fee schedule. That is because she is one of our Guardian Angel dogs. Guardian Angel dogs are highly desirable adoptees, and their increased fees are used expressly to help defray costs for our rescues with special needs such as advanced medical treatment or training for behavioral issues, or for those who are with us for unusually long periods of time. In this way the Guardian Angels directly help our other rescues! All adoption fees include spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 am-4:00 pm by appointment.
