Meet Norman, a resilient, joyful puppy who is ready to start the best chapter of his life. Norman is a four-month-old, 16-pound German Shepherd Dog mix who arrived at Home Fur Good under difficult circumstances. A treatable skin condition had landed him on the E-list, but thanks to consistent medicated baths and Credelio (which helps with mites as well as fleas and ticks), Norman has made a wonderful recovery and is now fully cleared for adoption. Even better, his stunning merle coat is beginning to shine through, hinting at just how handsome he’s going to be as he grows.
Aside from that now-resolved issue, Norman is a healthy, happy puppy with a zest for life. He is energetic, curious, and full of playful enthusiasm, so he’ll thrive in a home that’s ready for all the fun (and work!) that comes with a rambunctious young dog. An active family with experience training high-energy puppies would be his perfect match. Norman is smart and eager to learn, and his love for chasing tennis balls makes him a great candidate for training games and enrichment activities.
Norman’s adoption fee of $350 covers his neuter, vaccinations, microchip, and a complimentary wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. To meet Norman, please call 602-971-1334 to schedule an appointment, or visit us Thursday through Saturday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm for walk-ins. Helping Norman reach his true potential will be a joy, and he’s ready to return that love tenfold.

Home Fur Good has trained adoption counselors to review and question any potential problems/issues with application. We do require an adoption fee which ranges for dogs $150-$300 and for cats $50-$100. All cats and dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and vet checked.
If another dog or dogs are present in the household we require a meet and greet prior to adoption. All members of the household must be on board with adoption. We do not adopt our rescues out without meeting person that will be responsible - no "gift" adoptions. We contract that if cat/dog must be relinquished they are returned to us. If there is a change of ownership we must be kept informed who responsible party is. Fees are non refundable.

More about this rescue
Home Fur Good is a non profit no kill animal shelter located in the NE Valley. We take a majority of our cats and dogs from County, many who have treatable medical conditions and would otherwise be put down. We assess physical and behavior and work with the cats/dogs to find the best suitable match. It is our goal that each cat or dog that comes to our shelter ultimately be placed in their "furever" homes.
We also operate a low cost vaccine and microchip clinic each Sunday. We want to help community be able to care for and keep their animals safe. We do not charge vet fee only fee for vaccine and microchip. Additionally we have a low cost dental clinic each Wednesday. Check our website for more details.
