My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What a gentle and sweet-natured senior sweetie! Rob is an 8-yr old hound mix who may appear a little rough around the edges to folks seeking perfection. His left ear is tattered with a chunk missing and some of his teeth are worn down. His eyes reveal perhaps a life of adversity, but this boy is the SWEETEST. He has distinguished features and the warmest of hearts. He most assuredly deserves a loving retirement home where he will be treated like a king! He has so much love and companionship to give his new family. He would be an ideal companion for a single person or a couple, retirees looking for a more mature friend or even a family with older kids, though he may not be as active as they are hoping for in a new pal.

He gets along great with other dogs and he wags his tail when he sees a kitty though he hasn’t lived with one.

Rob walks well on a leash and harness. This senior sweetie is affectionate and is hoping for his true forever family this time! He has stolen lots of heart in the southern shelter where he wound up as a stray, and now in a rescue foster home where he is thriving.

In his Maine foster home, he is living with several other dogs and has met a variety of dogs and children with ease. He is a LOVER!

If you have interest in meeting Rob or any of our cuties, please fill out the adoption application.

Please note : we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
