My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tulip is a female shepherd mix born 12/2022. She is spayed, microchipped & UTD on vaccines including rabies. Her breed is our best guess. She weighs around 40lbs.

Tulip was & still is a very submissive lady. She would do well in a home with another dog who is "alpha". She responds to “sit”, “down”, “come here”, “off”, and “outside”. She loves hot dogs, cheese, peanut butter, liver treats, and pup cups. She is not at all food aggressive and does well with free-feeding. She walks very well on a leash and harness with minimal pulling. She is crate & potty trained. She jumps in the car easily to go bye-bye. She is shy around men when first meeting them but does warm up. She is a very active sleeper/dreamer (twitches often and sometimes makes cute little noises). She would love a home with a secured, attached yard where she can sun bathe & run her energy out.

Tulip would do best in a quiet, low stress environment where she can establish a routine. She also has 2 more training sessions with Building Bonds.

Additional adoption info

In some circumstances, meeting the dog and a home check are done at the same time if the dog is ready to be adopted. We do have conversation with potential adopters prior to them meeting the dog. If they are interested in adopting a puppy who is not ready for adoption (not altered, not UTD, etc) they are able to put a hold on the pup until ready for adoption.

More about this rescue

Pathways for Paws was founded in October 2019. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill, animal welfare organization.

Our mission is to make spay/neuter & vaccinations affordable to those in our communities. By achieving this, we will help prevent the neglect & abuse of dogs. All dogs in our care are spay/neutered, given the age appropriate vaccinations and microchipped before going to their FURever families.

We work with rescues & fellow animal advocates to continue growing a network of volunteers and supporters.
