My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rosie is a sweet , gentle 2 year old mini lop. She just transferred to us from the Montgomery County shelter where she had been since October before that she lived in a hutch that was cleaned once a week and had little interaction with people . When she arrived at her foster home she slept for about 18 hours only getting up once to eat and use the litter box like she hadn't been able to relax enough to really sleep in a very long time . She's a little shy of being touched by people so far but we think she will get over that fast . Rosie enjoys being able to see other buns and we think she is interested in meeting some bunny friends . She is excellent with using her litter box and keeps her pen very neat . Rosie is looking forward to finally experiencing the finer things in life and being a spoiled house rabbit .

More about this rescue

Bunny Lu Adoptions, Inc. is a volunteer, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) domestic rabbit rescue and education organization located in Waynesboro, Virginia. We are dedicated to educating people about the joys of having a house rabbit(s) companion and promoting care that will give those companions the best chance at a happy, healthy, long life.

Bunny Lu also provides temporary foster care to abandoned and neglected rabbits and arranges adoptions into loving, indoor, forever homes. While we do not condone the surrendering of rabbits, we understand that providing assistance to those people trying to improve their rabbits' quality of life sometimes requires finding a new home for the rabbits.
