Here's what the humans have to say about me:
*HANDSOME HUNKY HUSKY ALERT!*
Brooklyn, NY - Gorgeous one year old Husky JANU is a sweet 50 lb. boy who is absolutely flourishing in his foster home. He has lots of energy and loves to play in the park with other dogs - he’s gentle and polite with dogs of all different sizes, and loves meeting new humans as well. Once he’s had his exercise he loves to cuddle up on the couch with his head on your lap and have a belly rub. (Awwww….) When he first came to his current foster home from the city shelter, he was fearful, mistrusting and underweight. But wow, has Janu has come a long way since then ! Janu thrives on routine and is making great progress on commands. He’s a fast learner but requires patience and consistency. True to his breed, he’s strong willed, and has a mind of his own. He can be protective around his food, and a bit of an escape artist. He's responding very well to positive training, but he'll benefit from a patient owner who can keep working with him on these issues.
Janu’s ideal home would be with an experienced husky family or person, kids 12 and up, who can give him lots of positive reinforcement and good exercise - he’d be a great jogging/hiking buddy. He loves attention, but has his independent side too and is fine when left alone.
Janu is neutered, up-to-date on shots, and microchipped. To meet this awesome boy, please fill out our online application at www.amsterdog.org. Or contact us with any with any questions at info@amsterdog.org. Thanks for caring about a husky in need!
