This handsome redhead is one year old and weighs 55 pounds, so he's a great choice if you are looking for a medium sized companion.
His wonderfully expressive doggy face looks like he is smiling at you and he appears so wise and endearing when he wrinkles his forehead!
Luke has a sweet and good-natured personality that endears him to everyone he meets! He enjoys each and every day and savors life to the fullest! We love spending time with this amazing dog and Luke brings us so much joy!
Luke is always ready to take a walk around the beautiful shelter grounds and is so interested in his surroundings.
Luke enjoys people of all ages and has done so well with the children of our volunteers. He adores being petted and cuddled and gives the best doggy hugs!
He has a great time in the fenced play yard where he enjoys running and playing and just hanging out.
Luke had an outing with one of our dedicated volunteers and Natalie reports:
"Luke and I had a nice little field trip to Gossett today! I love this calm, gentle guy so much! He was a little wary about getting in the car and needed a helping boost to get in but rode great once we were settled. Luke loved moseying around on the trial and meeting two men doing some survey work. He was intrigued by the river but not totally confident about the water. Luke would put his front paws and nose in, but when he blew bubbles it spooked him. Overall , Luke was an easy and sweet companion, and his wrinkles and soft fur are just irresistible."
Luke is a bright dog who wants to please and should do well with training.
Take Luke home and the loyalty and devotion are guaranteed! He will bring such fun and happiness to his new family!
