My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"A dog wags his tail with his heart" and our precious Lefty is a big dog with an even bigger heart! He is eight years old and weighs 90 pounds.

Lefty is such a sweetheart! He is the resident hunk at our shelter and is much loved by our staff and volunteers. You can see how suave he is modeling his hat - he has the presence and charisma to rival any Hollywood leading man!

We especially admire how Lefty savors each and every day and truly lives in the moment...he makes time, as the saying goes, to stop and smell the flowers. That is an inspiration to all of us!

Lefty is an enthusiastic and well mannered companion on daily walks. He ambles contentedly at your side and truly savors your company. Left also looks forward to outings in the fenced yard, where he has so much fun playing with the toys and just hanging out.

Lefty is so very loving and affectionate. He will lean in to be petted and is a wonderful cuddle buddy. He enjoys the company of people of all ages. We love spending time with this precious dog!

He has really loved being in play groups with his fellow shelter canines. If you have another dog, we do require a meet and greet to ensure compatibility.

Lefty will be such a loyal and devoted part of the family lucky enough to take him home! He is the perfect dog to be at your side during the day and curl up with you every night!
