My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Having a dog will bless you with many of the happiest days of your life." This makes us think of Speckles who will bring so much joy to his new family!

Speckles is such a sweet, good natured dog! He is 18 months old and weighs 60 pounds. Speckles' tri color coat is beautifully patterned - he is such a handsome dog!

Speckles enjoys daily walks and loves exploring the trails on our beautiful shelter grounds. He also has a great time in the fenced yard.

Speckles has had the best time in play groups with his fellow shelter companions. If you have another dog, we do require a meet and greet to ensure compatibility.

Speckles is always ready for a pet and a cuddle and is so grateful for attention and affection. We love spending time with him! Speckles has such a congenial personality!

Speckles is a bright dog who should master any commands you wish to teach him.

His sister, Dolly, is also available for adoption.

More about this shelter

Cheatham County Animal Control is committed to finding good homes for the animals that come into the shelter system. We work with rescues and adopters. We are a no kill shelter but we rely on people coming in to adopt!

All of our cats/dogs receive vaccinations that are appropriate for the age and health when they are at animal control. We also spay and neuter all of our animals. The adopter is responsible for all vaccinations and medical care after adoption.
