My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cassian!!!

Cassian is handsome and dapper, 3-year-old Labrador retriever mix fellow, who arrived at Saving Hope in January 2023 when he was just 5 months-old. It is a total mystery as to why this happy, energetic, smart loving pup has spent almost his entire life with Saving Hope either with a foster or at Saving Hope’s Ranch. Cassian is ready and deserves to find his forever home.

Cassian is the total package for those looking for an adult dog. He is house trained, crate trained, neutered and up-to-date with all his vaccines. He is extremely smart and eager to learn. He thrives on a schedule that includes plenty of time in the great outdoors, where he can sniff all the smells, run around with his ears flapping in the breeze and chasing anything suspicious such as leaves, squirrels, etc. He would do best in a home with a tall fence as he is also very bouncy. Cassian loves to hang out with dogs and cats, provided proper introductions are made. He has a very loving nature and gets along with humans of all sizes. He might do better in a home with older children because his energetic bouncy nature could cause him to accidently knock down younger/smaller children.

While Cassian is an active boy, he also has a laid back and chill side where he likes to cozy up with his human and sleep or request belly rubs. He has also been known to sprawl out in the grass and soak up the sun.

Cassian is very smart and loves to learn, although the concept of playing fetch seems to escaped him. He will fetch wonderfully, but is content to run around with the ball instead of bringing it back (but that could be a dog thing).

During Cassian`s life he has lived everywhere, in foster homes, wide open spaces at the ranch, with lots of dogs and as an only dog, with children and without so basically, he will fit in pretty much anywhere. If you are looking for a loving, smart, active companion Cassian could be the dog for you! Please consider opening your home and heart to this wonderful boy, you won’t regret it.
