MEET CORDELL!
Ready to hit the Best Friend Jackpot? Meet Cordell! This sweet senior-ish pittie joined us from animal control where he had been brought as a stray. The shelter staff and volunteers both quickly fell in love with Cordell but he didn't catch the eye of an adopter among a sea of adoptable dogs so he's now free from the shelter and safe with City of Elderly Love!
Cordell is likely around 8 years old and besides being a perfect loaf while napping and his perfectly graying muzzle, you'd never guess he was a semi-senior. Cordell loves to cuddle and will roll over for belly rubs any chance he gets. He loves playing with the other (younger) pittie in his foster home. They'll play "bitey face", tug, and chase in the yard before curling up for a nap. We think he'd be happiest in a home with another friendly, easy-going dog like himself since he really seems to enjoy the companionship of his foster brother! Cordell also did great in his dog meets at the shelter and was often used in dog meets with new shelter dogs. Cordell is also in foster care with cats but is interested in them. He responds well to verbal corrections and knows not to chase them, but he'd do best in a home without cats.
Cordell is not only handsome and sweet, he's also got brains! He's eager to learn, will do just about anything for a treat, and is a quick learner! He walks well on the leash and is always up for an adventure. Cordell has received an evaluation at our vet and has shown to be a healthy boy!
