My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Dory!  This sweet, gorgeous girl was born around 7/18/2015.  She is a big one at her ideal weight of 101 pounds!  Some of her photos were taken after her coat was shaved; others show her naturally long, luxurious fur.

She is a sweet, trusting, laidback love bug!  She loves hanging out calmly with her people. She adores being brushed and pampered, and will roll over so you can groom her belly.

Dory likes to lounge in the middle of the house where she can see both the front and back door.  While she is not much of a barker, she is a good guard dog and will alert you if someone is walking in front of the house.  If you invite guests into your home, she puts on her best manners.

Dory lives in harmony with the many other dogs in her foster home, so she can likely integrate easily with an existing pack in her forever home.  She doesn’t have much interest in playing with other dogs, but enjoys following them around the yard to see what they are up to, or just chilling with them in the house.

She could also be fine as your one and only companion.  If you have housecats, she’s nice to them, too!

Dory is house trained, leash trained, and rides nicely in a car.  She even comes when called!  She knows the commands “all done” and “go away” (for “let me eat in peace”).

If there are children in the home, they need to be old enough to know not to pull her fur or jump on her.

Dory is really easy to have around.  Someone will win the doggie lotto with this sweetheart!

SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. Please go to our website www.SpinRescue.org and fill out an application for this great Great Pyrenees!
