My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sam was rescued from a kill shelter in Texas on the last day before he was to be put down. He used to be named 'Cloud', but that's kind of a gloomy name and when we met him, we found him to be such a jolly, sunny guy that we had to give him a new name. He is a SUCH good boy, who just wants to please his people. He's super friendly, happy, playful, obedient, affectionate, curious....honestly, we can't think of a single 'bad' quality! An all around great young dog, healthy and energetic and ready for action. Would be a fabulous addition to any family! He's even good with cats!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

People can submit an adoption application

2.

Interview

First we do reference checks, THEN we do a full 1 to 1.5 hr interview with the applicant

3.

Home Check

Home checks used to be done in person but lately we do a zoom walk through of the home, checking especially the backyard and crate set up

4.

Meet the Pet

If the dog is here in Canada they can do a meet and greet to finalize that they are in fact who they say they are and a good match

5.

Approve Application

we would send an email approving the adopter (or declining if they aren't approved)

6.

Sign Adoption Contract

We would send the adoption contract which they would fill out and send back.

7.

Pay Fee

They would transfer the adoption fee to cover transport costs and vetting of the dog. Then they would come pick up the dog from the foster.

Additional adoption info

No other additional information. Some of our dogs are adopted as soon as they come up on a "foster-to-adopt" trial period to ensure the perfect match.

More about this rescue

We rescue dogs off of death row from the Texas kill shelters and help rehome stray dogs from dumping grounds that have clearly been neglected or abused.
