Poppy is the sweetest girl! She loves people and wants nothing more than to be loved on. Poppy loves rolling over and showing you her belly. She is a short and shout with grey fur that reminds you of a hippo. When she recognizes you as her people, she will greet you with a full smile every time you come home. She needs some training and socialization with other dogs. She was recently rescued as a pregnant momma. She instantly became the best mom of 11 healthy puppies who will also be available soon.

Poppy 2.0 is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.

Adoption fee for dogs is $250. We required an adoption application and check both vet references and pet deposits / breed restrictions if they apply. We also do a home check prior to all adoptions.

Dogs can be met at our adoptions events, at their foster homes, or the boarding facility where they are staying. They can also be met during the home visit.

More about this rescue

Our goal is to save dogs at the local shelters in the Dallas \ Fort Worth Metroplex from euthanasia and adopt them to the public. We spay / neuter these dogs as well as provide all necessary medical care. We also educate the public about responsible pet ownership. We love dogs and our goal is to reduce / eliminate euthanisias being done in this area by shelters due to overcrowding.
