My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet your new co-pilot, Ellie! She is a sweet 3 year old,100% american bully, girl weighing about 60 lbs, and she radiates happy energy everywhere she goes. She's fully vaccinated and has been raised in a loving home where she's been cherished every single day. Her favorite spot in the world is the passenger seat right beside you. She loves being included and makes an excellent work day companion. Ellie has never known hardship, and it shows in her easygoing, happy go lucky personality. She listens well, enjoys her walks, and lights up the moment she sees her leash come out. She's enthusiastic and curious, but she's not street savvy--cars simply don't register for her so a securely fenced yard is essential to keep her safe. She's looking for a person or family who can continue giving her the warm, engaged life she's always known. If you're hoping for a loyal, joyful companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Ellie would be thrilled to meet you. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Ellie is s participating in the DFW Rescue Me guest dog program, so ongoing care and custody is provided by her foster, not by DFWRM.February 1, 2026, 12:32 pm

We love dogs and our goal is to reduce / eliminate euthanisias being done in this area by shelters due to overcrowding.
