My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Blueberry: a quiet, settled, beautiful, soft muted Tortie. She can usually be found outside the inner cottage, snuggled on a condo where she can enjoy watching the day’s activities. Blueberry is an independent kitty that often likes to choose the people she spends time with. Although she lives with many other kitties and does OK with them, she would certainly prefer to be the “Queen in her Castle”. She would do best as the only cat in a quiet home, with older children. Come meet Blueberry and see if it is the perfect match!

More about this rescue

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
