My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

f you are interested in a tough looking fellow, who in TRUTH is just a big squishy marshmallow guy..... let me introduce myself.
My name is Argo and I've been at the shelter for a few months. I'd been a street guy for a while and lots of folks were concerned for my welfare and made FB posts. I found my way to Gene Record Park the same weekend and was picked up there.
I LOVE to go for walks almost as much as I LOVE getting LOTS and LOTS of your attention. They've said they think I would become a couch potato.... not sure what that is, but if it comes with my person, then I'm down for giving it a try! I'm a VERY strong muscular fellow and would probably be ok with older children, but I get pretty enthusiastic and probably a bit overwhelming for a small child, but I'm willing to be trained. I am blind in one eye but that doesn’t slow me down.
Come on by and ask for Argo, I'd LOVE to meet you and make you fall in love....🤍

More about this shelter

All dogs are in care of the city ACO & dedicated volunteers. Although we are a kill shelter, we are very proud to say we have not had to euthanize since 2012! We hope to keep that streak alive as we find new homes for all of our wonderful residents.
