My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Vayda is a sun-chasing, soft-hearted soul with a quiet fire in her spirit. She’s got that calm, watchful presence — the kind that makes you feel like she’s known you forever — and when she bonds, it’s deep and true. Vayda loves to curl up in your lap for pets and settle into cozy windowsills to view wildlife with steady, thoughtful eyes. She has a curious streak that comes alive with interactive play — feather toys, laser games, treat puzzles, and weaving through tunnels or mazes spark something bright in her. Whether it’s birdwatching or batting at a wand toy, she’s quietly engaged and always taking it all in. She’s not here to be won over — she’s ready to belong.

More about this shelter

CCA was founded in 1980 by a small group of individuals dedicated to helping animals. Since then, our group has grown to include a small shelter. Our group's mission is varied: to maintain a shelter for abandoned, sick or injured animals; to adopt out dogs and cats to loving permanent homes; to provide for their animals low-cost spay/neuter assistance to families who lack the means to pay; and to strive to prevent and to stop abuse and/or neglect of an animal.

We are always in need of volunteers! If you are interested in becoming a part of our group, please let us know by calling 864.243.4222. We'd be glad to have you on board!
