My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Beacon is a timid hamster who needs an understanding adopter. He has been through a lot recently. He was surrendered to the San Diego Humane Society on July 30 of this year and on Aug 7 made the transport in a small green carrier to Tucson along with an estimated 317 other small animals. (If you are unfamiliar with this controversial story please google for information). Upon arriving in Tucson, he was then transported to an unknown location in the Phoenix area in the same green carrier which, we are guessing, he then lived in for almost a month. No wheel. No sand bath. Not very much bedding. Nothing at all to do and NO space! His existence during that time must have been hard. Poor little boy.

On September 2 Beacon returned to the Humane Society in Tucson, in that same green carrier and on September 3rd he was admitted into Home Sweet Hammy Home and given a fully enriched bin cage which he is loving and is available for purchase. The situation Beacon was in, along with so many other animals is dark so he was given a name meaning hope and light. He deserves a home where he will be respected and loved the rest of his life.
