My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Skunky has a very mellow and sweet disposition becoming most excited over veggie time and loves receiving fresh hay and pellets as well. Formerly known as Bakari, a name that just never stuck here in the rescue, he has adjusted into life here with excellence and recently had a vet visit which cleared him for adoption. Like all guinea pigs, he would rather not be picked up but once held he has learned to sit quietly for his health check and nail trim and although he used to be shy when strangers visited and would not take treats from them, lately he has overcome that shyness which is a great step forward for him. To apply to adopt reach out and we'll get you scheduled for a phone interview.

More about this rescue

There was a need in our community for a small animal rescue as well as care education for these amazing, often overlooked pets, so Home Sweet Hammy Home was established. Our goal is to teach updated care to anyone interested, take in as many as we have room and supplies for and create suitable habitats that our rescues can thrive in. We will then make these available to adopters if they don't have a proper one of their own.
