My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

URGENT - COURTESY POST

My name is Hot Toddy and I am about 2-3 years old.

I am currently in a foster home, but my foster mommy has stage 4 cancer and I need a new foster or adopter ASAP.

I am a spunky and incredibly sweet cuddlebug! I have also been great with every dog I have been introduced to so far, but I do like rough and tumble play.

I have some basic training and am fantastic in the crate, in the car, and as you can see well behaved in the house. I am happy to let you pet me for hours if you want. I won't complain at all!

I am also well behaved getting baths in a shower/tub combo.

I love my person and am protective however, so I'm looking for an owner who will provide me guidance to make me feel safe so they can run the show.

If you would like to meet me, please email us at wtfnapadogs@gmail.com

More about this rescue

We are a non-profit rescue organization who helps rescue dogs and sometimes other animals from Contra Costa Animal Services as well as other local shelters; usually the scared, overlooked or often the ones off the euthanasia list. We also rescue dogs who have been injured or abandoned trying to keep them from having to go into the shelter after looking for an owner. We then place them in foster homes to decompress and learn to be part of a family as well as learn structure and boundaries. If needed and we can, we also have trainers that help prepare our dogs for adoption.
