My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

URGENT COURTESY POST

My name is GT and I am a sweet and friendly 5 year old.

I was recued from the shelter's kill list and am currently in a foster home, but my foster mommy has some major health issues, so I need a new foster or adopter ASAP.

I was stressed in the shelter, in pain, and itching like crazy. I was not well taken care of in the past, but I don"t hold any grudges. I'm very people friendly and I'm a good boy!

My issues have all be treated and I'm ready for a new home.

I'm also friendly with other dogs. I'm not high maintenance at all. I'm a lower energy pup and would love to have my own person to snuggle on the couch with. I like to get outside in the fresh air and sniff around on leisurely walks, nothing too far. My joints get sore, as I'm getting middle aged.

I love treats, but could probably lose a few pounds. It's just that food tastes so good!

I'm hoping for a family of my very own that isn't super active and who is looking for a loving companion like me to spend their days with. ❤️

If you’d like to meet me please contact Martina Animal Rescue at martinaanimalrescue@yahoo.com or text Laura at 916-996-5777. I'm located in Fairfield, CA.

More about this rescue

We are a non-profit rescue organization who helps rescue dogs and sometimes other animals from Contra Costa Animal Services as well as other local shelters; usually the scared, overlooked or often the ones off the euthanasia list. We also rescue dogs who have been injured or abandoned trying to keep them from having to go into the shelter after looking for an owner. We then place them in foster homes to decompress and learn to be part of a family as well as learn structure and boundaries. If needed and we can, we also have trainers that help prepare our dogs for adoption.
