My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

URGENT COURTESY POST

My name is Duke and I"m a friendly and playful 2 year old.

I am currently in a foster home, but my foster mommy has some major health issues, so I need a new foster or adopter ASAP.

I'm a sweet guy. ❤️ I love attention and I'm kind of goofy too. I like to stand on my head while getting tummy rubs! I love playing with my toys, but they need to be tough ones that I can't destroy!

I'm a little cautious with new people, but warm up quickly if I know you mean me no harm. I also get along with other dogs, although I can be selective, so proper intros are a must.

Being a young pup I am easily excitable, but I'm also easily redirected and eager to please. I love to go for walks and explore the outdoors.

I'm also crate trained, housebroken and neutered already.

I'm hoping for a foster or adopter who will play with me, love me and give me the attention and affection I so desire to be the best boy I can be!

If you’d like to meet me please contact Martina Animal Rescue at martinaanimalrescue@yahoo.com or text Laura at 916-996-5777. I'm located in Fairfield, CA.

Application, home check and adoption fee required.

More about this rescue

We are a non-profit rescue organization who helps rescue dogs and sometimes other animals from Contra Costa Animal Services as well as other local shelters; usually the scared, overlooked or often the ones off the euthanasia list. We also rescue dogs who have been injured or abandoned trying to keep them from having to go into the shelter after looking for an owner. We then place them in foster homes to decompress and learn to be part of a family as well as learn structure and boundaries. If needed and we can, we also have trainers that help prepare our dogs for adoption.
