Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Kirk was found as a stray and was taken to the county shelter. Kirk was placed on the New Hope list. The New Hope list is for dogs in urgent need of adoption, or to be taken in by a rescue ASAP, due to various issues. Kirk was showing weakness in his back quarters. In fact, when Home Fur Good met him, he was unable to stand. HFG agreed to take him in. MCACC kept Kirk for a few more days and took x-rays. It appears Kirk had issues with his growth plates, the areas at the end of certain bones that allow the bones to grow. He was given pain medication, a consistent diet, and some TLC. When HFG was ready to bring Kirk into the shelter, he had already gained the ability to stand and move around. Kirk is growing into a healthy boy with wiggly puppy behaviors. He has been given a birthdate of April 8, 2023, he currently weighs 27 pounds, and he is an Australian Cattle Dog mix. Are you looking for a happy puppy that will keep you on your toes? The adoption fee is $300 and includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 am-4:00 pm by appointment.
