Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Riddle is a "double doodle" which means his parents were both doodles(labradoodle and goldendoodle). He was born on 6/16/23 and is just the cutest little guy! This little boy seems to love everyone although he can be shy initially. He does love playing with the other dogs and is very social with other canines. He is a typical puppy who is inquisitive and always trying to learn but he absolutely loves getting attention and snuggles! Riddle has a gentle personality and is just a fun little dog who seems like he could be quite versatlie. He is pretty much up for anything, as long as he is with you. He hasn't been crated very often but the couple of times he was,he did not potty in the crate. He is not fully housebroken though so he will need work on learning to potty only outside. He also has not been on a leash much so he will need to learn proper leash etiquette,if you plan to walk him. He does well in a fenced area and does not try to climb or dig out. He would fit well into any household and we feel that he would do fine with cats and other critters, even though he hasn't been around either with us. We just feel that he has the kind of personality that would do well with anyone or anything. He rides ok but recommend getting him used to traveling if you do that regularly and plan to take him with you. Because of Riddle's long beautiful and curly "doodle" coat, Riddle will need to be groomed regularly, either by you or by a professional groomer, so please be prepared for that. Grooming him regularly will keep his coat in good condition and keep him looking his best! Riddle is an all around awesome little dog and someone is going to be very lucky to add him to their family! Riddle saw the vet on 10/23/23. He was found to have something stuck in his eye (was never determined what or where it came from) on his exam. It was removed while he was under anesthesia. It had resulted in an eye ulcer so he is getting daily eye drops for that until the ulcer heals. He did test positive for hookworms so we have treated him with Drontal. He may need a follow up dewormer in 3 weeks. He is currently too young for a heartworm test but he has been started on Simparica Trio for heartworm prevention and flea control. He weighed 18.8 pounds as of 10/23/23. We anticipate that he will be a large small to a smaller medium dog when full grown.
If interested in giving Riddle his forever home, please submit your interest and your adoption application via email or text ONLY to 352-215-3260 (phone calls will not be answered or returned from this number). Riddle's adoption fee will be $400 to help cover the cost of his vetting and daily care while with us. We will only consider applicants who complete the adoption application and will accept applications thru 11/1/23. We expect a high volume of interest for Riddle and will be accepting applications for him prior to making our final decision for placement. Please be patient as we try to wade thru the interest and applications to find his best match.
