My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Kendra—don’t let the eyeliner fool you.
Sure, I’m easy on the eyes (I mean, look at this face), but underneath the glam is a powerhouse of energy and drive. I’m an athlete at heart—made for movement, adventure, and mental challenges. I’m not just here to sit pretty. I’m here to do stuff.

My perfect day? Two solid walks, a good nap in the sunshine, and plenty of love from my people. I thrive on structure and purpose—give me a job, a game, or a hiking trail and I’ll be your MVP every time.

I love the company of other dogs, especially when we’re out on a pack walk or roughhousing in the yard. That said, I like to take things slow when meeting new canine friends—just want to make sure we vibe, you know?

Kiddos? I haven’t met many, but I could see myself totally digging the older ones—the kind who are up for tug-of-war and zoomie races. Cats though? Hard no. I’ve got a high prey drive, and I’m not about to pretend otherwise.

One of my favorite places? My crate. Seriously, it's my chill zone. After a good workout, I’m all about curling up, recharging, and looking cute while doing it.

I’d love a home with space to roam—maybe even a farm or some land where I can really stretch my legs. If you're into hiking, biking, or just living that sweet country life with a loyal sidekick, I’m your girl.

Let’s get out there, move our bodies, and live the good life—together.
Powered by positive energy,
Kendra

** Kendra is part of our Foster-To-Adopt (FTA) program. FTA gives the opportunity to foster the dog, not as a legal owner yet, to see if the dog fits your home and lifestyle, and make sure it’s a good long-term match. TLP will continue to cover vet care, supplies, behavioral support and more!

More about this rescue

We are a foster/volunteer based 501c3 nonprofit dog rescue in Dallas, Texas. Our mission is to reduce the number of homeless pit bull type dogs in shelters and on the streets through rescue, rehabilitation, education, and advocacy.

Our goal is to educate the public about a breed that often falls victim to breed specific legislation, discrimination, and cruelty and promote responsible pet ownership through spay/neuter initiatives, vaccinations, and training resources.
