Rumble A417358

Located At: Sonoma County Animal Services

Description: I am a neutered male, red merle and blue merle Catahoula Leopard Dog and Pit Bull Terrier.

Age: I am estimated to be about 1 year and 11 months old.

Weight: I weigh approximately 58 pounds.

More Info: I have been at the shelter since Nov 01, 2023.

Rumble is a friendly, colorful, energetic, bouncy, year and half old that’s still very much a puppy. He would benefit from training and manners work as he likes to jump up for attention when walking on leash. He was bouncy and playful when meeting another dog. We feel due to his jumpy behavior he would best with children ages 15 and up. We would recommend he go into a home with no cats. He'd love to meet you!!

Rumble was recently in foster care and his foster said: He is house broken, rides well in the car, loves people, is attentive, loves rope toys and chew toys. They said he was working on crate training, leash work, and recall.

More about this rescue

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
