My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name: Sunshine
DOB/Sex: ~June 2021 / FS
Breed: Unknown Mix
Known Health Issues: None at this time
Good with: Kids! Dogs! Cats!
NO DOG PARKS

Sunshine was dumped at a farm, so very little is known about her past, other than that she arrived very underweight. She brought with her, 1 day old puppies, and has been an excellent mom to them. She has finished raising her littles, and is now searching for her forever home!

Sunshine is an incredibly sweet dog, that just wants to suggle all day long. She has a very in your pocket personality, but is also a social butterfly is there are many bodies in the room, capable of giving snuggles!

Sunshine has very little obedience, and is just starting to learn some basics. She is food motivated, but easily distracted. She is clean in the house, started on crate training, and good in the car. She is understanding leash pressure, and working on polite walking skills.

Sunshine is incredibly social, but also an alert dog. Other dogs, or persons in the distance, and she will alert bark and warn. But once a person comes close, and she's properly introduced, she melts into goo. She has done very well with all dogs introduced so far here at Inugoya, and has shown no dog intolerances, outside of general rudeness. I do not have cats to test, but based on her personality and low prey drive, I do not foresee any issues with proper training and boundaries.

Sunshine is not a fan of grooming, but is learning what it's all about. Her quicks are quite long, and we are working on nail trimming as part of her weekly routine. She tolerates bathing, and blow drying, and a quick daily brush, with a stiff bristle brush keeps her coat in great shape. She has no undercoat, but does of course shed. She feels the cold easily, so has a small wardrobe of coats and sweaters that will accompany her.

Sunshine's breed is unknown, but my best guess based on conformation, and attributes, is bully breed, with lab/hound. She is about 75lbs now that she's at a healthy weight, and is starting to gain better muscling. Regular exercise will keep her fit, and lean.

Sunshine loves her walks, running, hiking, dabbling in the water, and exploring with her person. She would make a fantastic pal for a single person, or the family cuddle buddy, for an adventurous family. She has been an exemplary house guest, and zero trouble. She deserves the very best forever home!

If you are that home, please apply here: https://form.jotform.com/233466598767073 She looks forward to meeting you!
