My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey there, my name is Seth! I am a 2-year-old husky that has not been able to connect with the right forever family. So….. I am now with Moonsong and I know they are going to do everything they can to change my star-crossed luck, to Lucky Stars!

I would do best in a home with playful similar energy level dogs. At the shelter I came from they said I was a ROCK STAR in their play groups. And get this: I am good with cats. Is that good, or what? In a previous home I did well with respectful children, so perhaps age 8 and above would be perfect. I greet people with curious interest and then woohoo it’s time to get acquainted!

I will need a husky secure fence, so I don’t go on a ‘naughty boy’ walkabout. But If I have a good buddy to spend time with when my peeps can’t be showering me with attention, I won’t want to go anywhere.

I would really love to finally find the perfect home, where I know I will be loved for the rest of my life. Are you the one? Let’s work out the details!! I'm in Casper Wyoming.

More about this rescue

We're glad you stopped by to check out our Mallies in need of their "furever" homes! We are federally recognized non-profit organization of volunteers dedicated to assisting Alaskan Malamutes and their owners when in crisis throughout the Intermountain West. Please be aware that Moonsong Malamute Rescue (MMR) is not a shelter or humane society. We are affiliated with the Alaskan Malamute Assistance League (AMAL), which is the national rescue organization recognized by the Alaskan Malamute Club of America. As an affiliate to AMAL, MMR operates under AMAL's code of ethics.

We offer educational material about the Alaskan Malamute breed, can assist in resolving containment issues, are able to help an owner with appropriately re-homing their Malamute when necessary, and provide behavioral issues support in the form of referrals to trainers and other more experienced Malamute owners. These funds are also used to help care for Malamutes with adoptable personalities who have been pulled from shelters, or who have been seized by authorities after having been abandoned, neglected, or abused.
