My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEET PENNY!

This gorgeous, easy-going, happy-go-lucky Husky is named Penny! She and her housemate joined the rescue due to their former owner experiencing housing troubles. Penny has been nothing but a delight since Day 1 and we can't wait for her to find the perfect family!

Penny is around 8 years old and in addition to her gorgeous looks, she also has an award-winning personality! She loves to meet new people and will happily pause on every walk to get head scratches from passersby. She is currently living in foster care with other dogs, both large and small and a cat. She loves spending her time with her "pack" and even tries to get her feline friends to play with her (which some may not appreciate). Penny has always lived with other animals and was an easy addition to her foster home so we think she'd round out just about any family looking for a playful older dog who has great energy but is also a huge fan of naps!

Penny knows basic commands and will do little dances for treats and her meals. She's a great companion who will happily nap at your feet while you work. The only behavior "quirk" which should be noted is that Penny can be a bit of an escape artist. She loves to romp around and play in the yard but if left unattended, she can easily finagle her way over a fence and go looking for her people (even if they're right in the house). Penny has been fully vetted since coming to the rescue and has shown to be a healthy girl! She is also housebroken!

Penny is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love! She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Interested in adopting her? Visit cityofelderlylove.org to complete an online adoption questionnaire or email us at info@cityofelderlylove.org!
