Lainey entered San Bernardino Shelter as a stray. When she wasn't reclaimed, we scooped her up to become a Frosted Face on December 5th. Lainey is about 10 years old and weighs 56 lbs. She is such a sweet, loving, and affectionate girl!
Lainey knows SIT, rides nicely in the car, and loves walks! She has excellent leash manners and isn't reactive to other dogs. Lainey really enjoys snuggling and leans in for hugs.
Lainey lived in a Foster home for several months, and we learned she is a wonderfully behaved companion that is great with children and other dogs. Lainey recently returned to FFF when her foster mom moved out of state.
Lainey's foster mom shared:
"If you are looking for a low-key, sweet dog who quickly adapts to a new home with new humans and dogs, and has many motherly instincts to serve and protect her humans (and her stuffies), please consider adopting lovely Lainey!
* Rides perfectly in the car.
* Meets and greets little dogs nicely.
* Loves bones, stuffies, and treats.
* Knows how to use doggie door.
* Sleeps on the carpet, hard floor, dog beds, and occasionally the sofa. Sleeps over night 10+ hours (in a dog bed next to your bed or the living room.)
* Easy walker. Doesn't pull, but will put on the brakes when she smells something good in the neighborhood. She can walk at least 1 mile at a time (because that is all I can do,) but could definitely go further.
* Not one single accident in the house. She can hold it forever, but I force her to go out every 4-6 hours during the day. Will hold it at minimum 12+ hours overnight.
* Can be trusted to be left home alone. She is not a door dasher, but will follow you to front door. Then, she will lay in front of the door patiently waiting for you to return.
* Met a child while on a walk and graciously accepted him petting her head.
Lainey is a wonderful girl who checks many boxes that anyone would welcome in a dog."
Lainey is back on-site and ready for her forever family. Might that be you?
Stop by to meet Lainey on Saturday and Sunday during Open House from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm!
