Hope likes toys and treats and the running wheel in her room at the shelter. She doesn’t like it when humans reach for her. She would like to be left to do her thing, and if you push her on that, she’ll bolt. She is much more willing to share space with humans than even a year ago, though. Hope needs a patient and understanding human who will let her learn to feel safe at her own pace.

Additional adoption info

All interested parties must fill out an adoption application and be approved prior to adoption. If a family has currently, or in the recent past had pets then a veterinary reference is required. If not then two personal references are required. Our adoption fees for dogs range from $150-$300. Our adoption fee for cats is free will donation. After an adoption has been approved an adoption contract must be signed.

More about this shelter

The ECAS is an all volunteer, no kill shelter. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pets in need due to neglect, abandonment, abuse or from simply not being wanted! We started in 2010 due to a need in our community. We are currently a foster based organization and we are currently building our new shelter facility. We work hand in hand with other rescue and shelters in the area to help out when and where we are needed.
