My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Julio but my friends call me Lio for short. I am a 2 year old 22 lb buff and white cocker boy and my foster mommy says I have the most amazingly cute freckles. I love car rides, walks, toys, and a good nap on my human's lap- I am an absolute love bug so watch out because kisses are given out freely and often!!! I have good house manners but do need work on not jumping on stuff like counters and tables- foster mommy is training me to not "counter surf" too. On a more positive note, I have excellent leash skills and I even know basic commands- foster mommy says I am a people pleaser so that's a good thig right??? I came from a situation that can best be described as "controlled chaos"- too many small kids , and dogs . and people- and not enough time to train us all - and all wanting attention ---so I am averse to going into a similar scenario. The girls at FCCR are looking for a quiet home for me where I can be the center of attention, can experience one-on-one love , and learn to be and all around gentleman....that's really what I long for too. So NO KIDS, NO CATS, and maybe just one other dog that can play nicely with me. If interested in adopting me please fill out an application at www.floridacockerrescue.org ADOPTION FEE: $395.00

More about this rescue

Florida Coastal Cocker Rescue (FCCR) is a non-profit organization located in SW Florida. We are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing Cocker Spaniels throughout the state of Florida and neighboring states. We rely 100% on donations and volunteers to help us take care of our dogs. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines and rabies, heartworm tested, flea and heartworm treatment, and microchip.

FCCR carefully screens all of our potential furever and foster homes to ensure that our pups will have safe and loving homes. Some of our dogs come from shelters and abusive situations and we want to make sure that they will only see love the rest of their lives.
