My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rain: part cat, part beanbag, and 100% delightful oddball. Rescued during a storm, she has transformed into a plump, fun-loving lap cat who knows how to relax in style. Picture her in a recliner chair, kicked back with absolutely no cares in the world, casually munching on her "TV dinner" while watching the latest drama unfold. When she's not enjoying a snack, she’s in full-on play mode, ambushing toys or flopping down in the most dramatic, squishy fashion.

Rain’s not your average cat—she’s strange in the best way, squishy in all the right places, and fully committed to living life to the fullest. If you’re after a cat who’s as eccentric as she is endearing, Rain might just be your perfect match.

More about this shelter

CCA was founded in 1980 by a small group of individuals dedicated to helping animals. Since then, our group has grown to include a small shelter. Our group's mission is varied: to maintain a shelter for abandoned, sick or injured animals; to adopt out dogs and cats to loving permanent homes; to provide for their animals low-cost spay/neuter assistance to families who lack the means to pay; and to strive to prevent and to stop abuse and/or neglect of an animal.

We are always in need of volunteers! If you are interested in becoming a part of our group, please let us know by calling 864.243.4222. We'd be glad to have you on board!
