My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Bella or Bella Boo. I am 2 years old and I love to play. I know how to sit, give paw, come here, lay down, kiss, and even snuggle up on command. I need a family with a fenced-in backyard since l am leash reactive, but that's only because I LOVE making new friends. I get frustrated when I'm on the leash and can't greet every other dog out there.
I am an Australian cattle dog/staffy mix and when I'm wet, you can really see my spots. I also would like to have a friend because I have some separation anxiety unless l am with a friend. Don't worry though! I don't tear things up like most dogs. I just bark to try to make you come home. I am crate trained, but prefer to be left out of a crate since it makes me feel better.

I LOVE going outside, but hate the water. I need exercise daily, so having an active family would be nice. I am great with kids and babies. Some of my favorite words are "outside", "chewy". and "ride". I am house trained. And I love chewing on bones. I can be a little odd when it comes to food, for example, if I'm given a pig ear, it HAS to be broken up or all I will do is bury it.

Playing with other dogs, especially one that I live with, is probably my favorite thing, next to giving kisses. I prefer bigger dogs, but once I get to know smaller dogs, I'm typically okay. I love being a co-navigator during car rides and that includes sticking my head out the window. But, if I see another dog while on a car ride, I will react the same way I do when I'm on a leash.

Some of my quirks include loving whipped cream but being afraid of the canister since it reminds me of ear medicine. I'm also afraid of kitchen tongs for some odd reason. I love getting treats, and I am very food motivated. I love snuggling up and watching TV with my humans, and they laugh whenever I see a dog on TV because it makes me excited and I want to play with them. One thing that makes me happy is bubbles!!!! I think they look like balls, so I try to eat them when I see them.

My humans really didn't want to give me up, but because they didn't have a backyard and I needed to be on a leash, they were worried about being kicked out of their apartment since I am vocal whenever I want to play with other random dogs. So, this means I should not live in an apartment. One of my best traits is that when I have to go potty, I will stand in front of you, and I will be vocal about it by saying "boof." I've lived with a cat, but if it is a cat I do not know, I tend to think they are playthings, and I try to play with them, even if I get scratched (I'm not very smart in this respect).
