My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maddie was brought to us in pretty rough shape.  The emergency physician felt she had been under a hood of a car when she sustained facial injuries.  Upon additional evaluation, it was felt Maddie also had a severe sinus infection.  She had her sinus drained and some teeth pulled.   Nearly a month has passed and Maddy has made a lot of improvement.  Her facial swelling is gone, and her facial wounds have healed nicely.  She is eating well on her own and is no longer on medication.  Now she is in need of her forever home.  We feel a quieter home would suit Maddy best, as she can get overstimulated pretty easily (no surprise with her history).  She is spayed and her shots are being updated.

We require an adoption application be filled out (can be done online or in person). Allow 3 business days to process. Contact the shelter to check on status of application if you do not hear from us in 3 days. Upon approval, fees are $85 for a cat and $150-$250 for a dog. This includes vaccinations and altering. Renters need to demonstrate approval of landlord to have pets. Home visit may be done at the discretion of the shelter. Our adoption contract specifies adopters must comply with local animal ordinances and have current pets neutered if not already done. More about this shelter

We are a private non-profit limited intake no kill shelter that has been serving the county since 1978. We try to take in and care for as many animals as our small shelter can handle. We are an adoption center and not to be confused with Animal Control. We cannot pick up stray animals, that has to be done by the county. Thank you and we look forward to adopting out to you!
